Johnny Delaney died in hospital
Two teenagers have appeared in court charged with the murder of a 14-year-old boy.

Johnny Delaney, 14, was found with serious head injuries in a field in Ellesmere Port on Wednesday.

The teenager, who lived with an Irish travelling community in Liverpool, had been visiting friends.

Two 15-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Chester Youth Court on Friday.

They were remanded in custody until Thursday.

Following the assault, Johnny was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital, where he later died.
