Candlelit vigil for shot Jessie
Jessie James
Jessie was shot near the youth club he attended
A candlelit vigil is to be held in Manchester to remember the murdered schoolboy Jessie James.

The 15-year-old was shot near Broadfield Park in Raby Street, Moss Side, on Saturday 9 September.

Pastor Michael Simpson from the Manchester Central Seventh Day Adventist Church - where Jessie's family worship - will lead the service.

Local people will gather in Broadfield Park to say prayers and read poetry to mark Jessie's killing.

Pastor Simpson has said of the murder: "We need to know in the community what's going on, why this is happening and where the guns are coming from."

The vigil will begin at 1900 BST on Sunday.

Jessie, who lived in Greame Street, Moss Side, attended the nearby Manchester Academy High School.
