Two arrested after fatal shooting

A man and a woman have been arrested by detectives investigating a fatal shooting in Greater Manchester.

Mark Daniels, 25, was shot in the chest in Woodhouse Park, Wythenshawe, on 22 August. He was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital with but died later.

Police described it as a targeted attack and began a murder inquiry.

On Saturday, they said a 22-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 20-year-old is being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The man, from Longsight, and the woman, from Droylsden, were being questioned by detectives on Saturday.
