A teenager who was fatally shot when two gunmen opened fire into a car has been named as Philip Poru. Mr Poru and a friend, 18, were sitting in a silver Ford Fiesta in Long Walk, Plumstead, south-east London, when they were shot on Sunday night.
A post-mortem examination found Mr Poru died of gunshot wounds to the chest. His friend, who was also injured, is in a stable condition in hospital.
Mr Poru is the 21st teenager to die of knife or gun crime in London this year.
No arrests
The victim was a student.
Police patrols in the area will be increased, police said.
Officers from Operation Trident, which looks at gun crime in London's Afro-Caribbean community, said the attackers are thought to be black males.
Greenwich Borough Police Commander, Ch Supt Chris Jarratt, said: "I appreciate there is a high level of concern and I urge members of the community to get in touch with police if you have any information that may assist our inquiries."
No arrests have been made over the incident.
