Detectives have returned to an ice rink a week after a teenager was shot dead in the hope of speaking to witnesses. They spent several hours at Streatham Ice Arena, south-west London, on Saturday night where a vigil was being held for James Andre Smartt-Ford, 16.
James was shot in front of about 300 people on 3 February.
Police said they wanted to speak to anyone who had not yet come forward so they could piece together a picture of his life and catch his killers.
Witness plea
James was shot near the entrance to the venue at about 2300 GMT and managed to stagger onto the ice. He died in hospital.
Six youths and an 18-year-old man were arrested over the murder have been bailed until a later date.
James's mother Tracey Ford used a website to urge witnesses to come forward and help police.
She left a message on the gonetoosoon website that read: "We need to know what happened and we need your support to catch these murderers".
