Hundreds of people were at the ice rink at the time of the shooting |
The mother of a teenager who was shot dead at an ice rink has urged people to help catch his killers. James Andre Smartt-Ford, 16, was shot twice at Streatham Ice Arena in south-west London, a week ago.
Tracey Ford left a message on the gonetoosoon website that read: "We need to know what happened and we need your support to catch these murderers".
She said a vigil was being held at the ice rink on Saturday night in memory of her son.
Six youths and an 18-year-old man were arrested over James's murder and have been bailed until a later date.
Ms Ford, from south London, also left a message to the family of Michael Dosunmu, who was shot dead in his bedroom three days after James was murdered.

Michael's killers burst into his home in Diamond Street, Peckham, south London, in the early hours of Tuesday.
Ms Ford wrote: "As we lose our children so young and in such tragedy, we embrace the words of kindness, the unspoken words and the love expressed by all.
"Time is a great healer and we are blessed with our memories which can never be erased.
"Our babies are in a place only fit for the golden ones, gone but not forgotten."
Detectives have appealed to hundreds of young people who were at the ice rink when James was shot at about 2300GMT.
Police said the shooting took place near to the venue entrance, but James managed to stagger onto the ice. He died later in hospital.
