A guide to Asian events in London over the summer and autumn has been produced by the Mayor of London. As well as giving information about festivals - or melas - Asian London also highlights theatre, nightlife, TV and radio and places of worship.
London's mayor Ken Livingstone said: "Wherever you live or whatever your taste, this guide will help you to make the most of Asian London."
Highlights in the guide include the London Mela on 14 August.
Mr Livingstone said: "'The cultural opportunities that London offers are now unparalleled.
"Nowhere is this more apparent than with the diverse range of summer events and festivals that take place throughout the capital, many of which draw their inspiration from the heritage and creativity of London's South Asian communities.
"It's a great and inviting place, so get out there and discover it for yourself."
Asian London 2005 is being distributed across the city. It also available at City Hall and by calling the Greater London Authority on 020 7983 4100.
