Mela attracts top Delhi musicians
Dancers at the London Mela 2003
More than 60,000 people are expected to attend this year's Mela
Three acclaimed classical musicians from Delhi are to play at the second London Mela in west London on Sunday.

Shri Hemant Chauhan, Ustad Chand and Afzal, are expected to perform in front of 60,000 people in Gunnersbury Park.

The festival began at 1200 BST and features urban music, dance, and children's shows. It ends at 2045 BST.

The musicians are coming after the Mayor of London Ken Livingstone signed the Friendship Agreement with Delhi's Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in 2002.

Mr Livingstone said: "'The London Mela is a showcase of the many aspects of Asian culture, with something for all Londoners to enjoy.

"It is an honour that acclaimed classical artists are able to perform at one of the summer's highlight events."
