Hundreds of Elvis impersonators are to compete to be crowned king of kings and win the chance to perform a gig in Las Vegas for one night only. All shapes, sizes and nationalities of Elvis' are expected to take the mike at auditions at Selfridges store in Oxford Street, central London, on Sunday.
They will also set a new world record by gathering the greatest number of impersonators to sing Viva Las Vegas.
The rock and roll legend gave 837 live appearances in Las Vegas over 20 years.
Alannah Weston, creative director from Selfridges which has Las Vegas as its spring theme, said: "We're hoping for a fantastic Elvis turn-out and we'll be laying on terrific music and staging so the hopefuls can perform in the best Las Vegas tradition."
