Anton Hyman was stabbed several times |
A funeral has been held for a murdered teenager whose mutilated body was found in the River Brent. Friends and family gathered for Anton Hyman's funeral procession in Acton, west London. He was found in the river in Greenford, west London, on 21 March.
A post-mortem examination showed the 17-year-old had been stabbed and shot in the back.
In March, 200 people attended a service held by Anton's family at Friary Park Estate Community Centre, in Acton.
He was last seen getting into a taxi in Ealing Broadway, west London, at about 2000 BST on 20 March.
Six arrested
His body was found about 15 hours later by a passer-by - on Mother's Day.
He had been repeatedly stabbed in the neck, beaten around the head with a blunt instrument and then shot.
At the time, Anton's mother, Vanessa Hyman said: "Too many young people are dying.
"Mothers are being stripped of their sons. This is not the sort of news I expected to hear - especially on Mother's Day."
Police say they still have no motive for the attack which they have described as "brutal and protracted".
Six people arrested in connection with Mr Hyman's death have been released on police bail.
