Crime crackdown in London borough
A three-day crackdown on anti-social behaviour and serious crime is being held in a west London borough.

More than 100 police Metropolitan Police officers will roam the streets of Cremorne ward, in Chelsea, west London from Wednesday to Friday.

They will be joined by other agencies to tackle graffiti, noise, tax and fare evaders and illegal trading as well as providing a reassuring presence.

The Safer Surer crime blitz follows others in Notting Hill and Earls Court.

Trading Standards, the Department of Work and Pensions, Immigration and Transport for London are also involved in the clampdown on illegal activity.

Chief Inspector Jeremy Blood who is in charge of the operation said previous operations had achieved "very interesting results and major arrests".

Officers will be based at St John's Church Hall on the World's End Estate.
