Jo Moore has become a classroom assistant |
A former spin doctor who infamously described 11 September, 2001, as a "good day to bury bad news", is now training as a teacher in a London primary school. Jo Moore, who was a special adviser at the Department of Transport, resigned in February 2002 after a series of briefings which exposed open conflict in some areas of Whitehall.
A spokesman for the London Borough of Haringey confirmed on Friday that Miss Moore is working with a Year 2 class at Muswell Hill Primary School as part of her teacher training.
"Jo Moore is undertaking a teacher training course as part of which she is doing teaching practice," a statement from Haringey Council said.
"She is one of many students who get some practical experience in our schools.
"Her suitability for the course and eventually as a teacher is determined by her course tutors and assessors and not by Haringey Council.
"All students are supervised and any concerns would be reported to her tutors."
