Extra train services for region
A rail firm which operates trains in the East Midlands is putting on extra services between the region and London to cope with passenger demand.

From 21 May, GNER will run an extra 11 services on weekdays between Newark North Gate and London.

There will also be seven extra services on weekdays between Grantham and London, a spokesperson said.

In order to run the services, GNER has leased two more trains which will be fitted with new engines.
