Pop concert cannot be rescheduled
Dan Gillespie-Sells from The Feeling
The Feeling will be touring in the US
A pop concert planned for Lincoln has been cancelled after attempts to reschedule it failed.

Pop band The Feeling were due to play at the castle on 24 July but probelms with health and safety paperwork saw the gig postponed.

Now the county council has admitted the band's commitments in the US make rescheduling impossible.

The police have also revealed that they are conducting an investigation into whether previous events breached rules.

Emergency services

At the time of the postponement, the council explained it had failed to give the required three months' notice to the emergency services.

A second concert by singer Marti Pellow went ahead on 23 July but had to be moved to a different venue.

Officials have now said applications for the licences needed for other events at Lincoln Castle have been submitted and they are hoping the Midsummer Magic concerts planned for 25, 26 and 27 of August will be able to go ahead.

At the time of the postponement, the council explained it had failed to give the required three months' notice to the emergency services.
