Show is off after council blunder
Dan Gillespie-Sells from The Feeling
Organisers said they were talking to the band's management
A concert at Lincoln Castle has been postponed and another relocated after the county council admitted it overlooked paperwork.

More than 6,000 people were expected at the castle to see The Feeling on Sunday and singer Marti Pellow from Wet Wet Wet on Saturday.

But the council forgot to comply with health and safety regulations.

Marti Pellow's show went ahead at the city's Engine Shed. Organisers were trying to reschedule The Feeling.

The promoter, Chris Moreno, said: "It is absolutely, clearly, down to the council and their failure to have done what they should have done.

"So we are now talking about how best to proceed and hopefully it will happen in the next few weeks."

Mark Homer, from the council, said: "Last week the county council discovered it had not complied with an additional clause that was within its premises licence which required it to provide at least three months notice to the emergency services."

An announcement on The Feeling's show was expected to be made on Monday.
