The financial problems of the NHS in Lincolnshire are to be debated in the House of Commons. Mark Simmonds, Tory MP for Boston and Skegness MP, secured the debate to discuss ward closures and job losses.
During the debate on Wednesday evening, he will tell health ministers the cuts are a direct result of poor funding.
Mr Simmonds said there is "serious concern" within the county's hospitals and added: "I warned the government they need to do something about it."
He said people want to know: "Why nothing was done and why Lincolnshire NHS overall has got itself into this situation."
'Recovery plan'
The NHS health community in the county faces a 8m shortfall with ward closures and 300 staff posts at risk.
A recovery plan suggests two ward closures at Lincoln County and Boston's Pilgrim hospitals and one at Grantham Hospital.
The staff union, Unison, has said it will not accept any compulsory redundancies.
The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has said no hospital closures are planned, but some staff will be "redeployed"
Lincolnshire NHS has more than more than 800m, but the shortfall is set to rise to more than 20m without more money or cuts.
