Public voice views on arts scene
Lincoln's cultural scene has been showcased at the city's Drill Hall.

The Performing Arts Market was the first of several 2006 events aimed to get people talking about local culture.

Representatives of more than 30 local arts organisations were at the city centre venue on Saturday to meet members of the public.

Managers at the Drill Hall hoped the event would encourage and inspire more people to explore the city's museums, gallery and theatres.

Spokesman Gavin Street said: "It's a celebration really of what's been going on in the city for quite a few years now.

"There's a bit of a cultural renaissance happening in Lincoln and more events going on.

"There's much more to do day in day out, comedy, theatre, than there has been ever before. Importantly more people than ever before, are getting involved."
