Marchers angry at hospital cuts
Protesters have demonstrated against cuts at a hospital in Lincolnshire.

The protest march, over cuts at Grantham Hospital, was organised by the Grantham Journal newspaper.

It claims hospital staff are worried about cuts to the A and E department and critical care facilities. Bosses said the department would not close.

Hospital chiefs said some critically ill patients could be treated at other hospitals - but said this is because of modernising the service not cutbacks.

The plans will offer the best possible service to patients, managers said.

The march took place in Grantham on Saturday morning.
