Emergency fears voiced over camps

Paramedics called to holiday sites may not be able to find patients
Lives could be at risk at camp sites in Lincolnshire because ambulance crews are not always able to find casualties quickly, according to a patient group.

The county's Ambulance Patient and Public Involvement Forum, which monitors the service, says it can be hard finding patients at holiday parks.

The group wants measures introduced such as compulsory torches in caravans.

Denise Brown, one of the members, said it would be very easy for something to go wrong.

"(Paramedics) can arrive on the site within the time that they would normally be there, but once they get to the site, it's very difficult to identify which caravan they're actually needed at," she said.

"There are a number of a caravans, a number of rows, and certainly it would be a worse problem in the middle of the night."
