Boston could get a community officer to deal with issues resulting from an increasing migrant worker population. Boston Borough Council is currently reviewing its policy on issues relating to migrants.
There has been some tension between local residents and the workers, especially as a result of overcrowded housing conditions.
The council is considering appointing a dedicated officer to deal with such issues as part of the review.
The migrant population in the Boston area is estimated at about 8,000 people - with 3,000 Portuguese nationals living in the town.
More than half the 70,000 agricultural and horticultural workers in the area are believed to be migrants.
The Citizens Advice Bureau in Boston has said some workers are not being looked after properly by their employers and are often unaware of their rights.
An update on the review, which will be finished later this year, is being given at a meeting on Monday.
