The force is keen to find out what the public thinks of its service |
Police in Lincolnshire are to conduct an unusual survey into public confidence. Around 1,000 people will be contacted in a random telephone survey on behalf of the Lincolnshire Police Authority.
They will be asked questions such as "Do you have confidence in the police?" and "Are you satisfied with police visibility?"
A police spokesperson said the survey was a good opportunity to look at services from the public's perspective.
It would help officers understand the expectations of people in Lincolnshire, the spokesperson said.
The force received bad publicity recently when it caused the collapse of a major drugs trial.
The trial was abandoned when it emerged that officers recorded a defendant's conversation with his solicitor.
The matter is being investigated.
