Pescod Square is built around the medieval Pescod House.

Ten shops will open on the town centre site over the next six weeks. A 400-space multi-storey car park has also been erected.

It features a pedestrian bridge connected to department store Oldrids which has undergone a �5m expansion to coincide with the project.

Building moved

The project involved moving the 15th Century Pescod Hall 20 metres via two computer-operated trailers before lowering it on to its new foundations.
