Ban on inflatable toys considered
New laws could be introduced banning inflatable toys on the Lincolnshire coast following a fatal accident.

Ewan MacAllister, 46, from Birmingham, was in a dinghy which was swept out to sea at Vickers Point near Ingoldmells.

The coastguard has expressed its anger at people not listening to warnings about how dangerous such toys can be.

East Lindsey District Council has confirmed that its Community Issues Review Group will discuss a by-law later this year.

East Lindsey Councillor Jean Hill says there are many issues to consider.

"By-laws, I understand, take an awful long time to get in place if we are going to get them.

"But I would say by next summer it will certainly be looked at and decided whether we can get a by-law."
