Man dies following dinghy tragedy
A man has died after he was swept off his inflatable dinghy in high winds off the Lincolnshire coast.

Two lifeboats and a helicopter from RAF Leconfield were scrambled in a rescue mission after two men were thrown into the sea near Vickers Point.

Ewan MacAllister, 46, from Birmingham was rescued from the sea and treated on shore close to Ingoldmells near Skegness and airlifted to hospital.

But he was confirmed dead, police said. The second man swam to shore safely.

Ben Hardaker from the Skegness Lifeboat Station warned others not to take inflatables into the water.

"You do have to treat the sea with great respect particularly when the wind is offshore as it is today."
