Fund in memory of stabbed boy
Luke Walmsley
Luke Walmsley died at his school
The parents of Lincolnshire schoolboy, Luke Walmsley, are planning to create a permanent memorial to his life.

The 14-year-old was stabbed to death last Tuesday, during what police have described as an altercation at Birkbeck School in North Somercotes near Louth.

His parents have decided to create the "Luke Walmsley Sports Foundation" because they have been inundated with people wanting to make donations in his memory.

Luke's father, Paul, said his son loved sport and they feel a sports foundation is the best way for him to be remembered.

The money raised will go towards providing a new facility for the local community.

Donations can be made to the fund through any branch of Barclays Bank.

Luke's funeral is due to take place next Friday.

The service will be held at St Mary's Church in North Somercotes.

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with Luke's murder.
