Luke Walmsley: Allegedly stabbed at his school
An inquest into the death of Lincolnshire schoolboy Luke Walmsley has been told the 14-year-old died from a stab wound to the heart.

Lincolnshire Police outlined the circumstances of the death at the five-minute hearing in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, and proceedings were then adjourned by Louth and District Coroner Stuart Fisher.

A teenager accused of murdering Luke appeared in court again on Wednesday.

The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is alleged to have killed Luke between lessons at Birkbeck Secondary School in North Somercotes, Lincolnshire on 4 November.

School reopened

Luke was given first aid by teachers and paramedics before being flown by air ambulance to Grimsby Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 15-year-old boy appeared at Skegness Youth Court during the 20-minute hearing.

Patricia Harding, defending, made no application for bail, and the case was adjourned until 10 December when the boy will appear before the same court.

The school reopened for lessons on Monday after earlier holding a "fellowship day" for pupils, parents and teachers affected by Luke's death.
