Town set for facelift
A project worth thousands of pounds is being planned to give a Lincolnshire seaside town a facelift.

An environmental charity is working with East Lindsey District Council to improve the look of Mablethorpe.

The aim is to regenerate the area, focusing on the town centre.

The council wants to improve the High Street and shop fronts and make it easier for shoppers and motorists to find their way around town.

Work begun

Councillors believe that the local economy will improve as a result.

The charity behind the project, Groundwork Lincolnshire, say the transformation will not just benefit locals but visitors too.

Last year the charity supported 4,800 national projects and created 2,500 jobs.

Work has already begun in Mablethorpe and it is hoped the development will be completed by mid July.
