A library in Leicestershire is due to be brought into the 21st century with �170,000 of improvements. From October, Hinckley library will be able to offer its customers twice as many computers, new books, improved lighting and new furniture.
The improvements are part of a �5m scheme to modernise library services across the whole of Leicestershire.
Hinckley library will close at the end of April but temporary premises will open at the Horsefair from May.
Ernie White from Leicestershire County Council, said: "Hinckley library is one of the largest in the county.
"Transforming the library will bring about a real boost in the services available for customers."
