Delays in opening a 12.5m museum have been shrugged off by project leaders. The new City and County Museum had been due to open in Lincoln this month. It is replacing two museums in the city, which have already closed.
But bosses behind the complex said it will now open in the summer because of continuing building work.
They said they were not unduly concerned at the short delay in its opening because they had been planning the complex for several years.
21st Century
Most of the cash for the museum has come from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the East Midlands Development Agency.
Project director Jonathan Platt said: "We are going to open as soon as we possibly can.
"Very few people build museums from scratch now.
"It's probably going to be the first purpose-built museum in the 21st Century in the UK.
"We have encountered one or two problems, largely due to the completing of the building as it's using new materials."
