Budget airline adds more flights
Nottingham East Midlands Airport
The new flights will attract 1.2 million passengers
Low-cost airline Ryanair is expanding its operation in the East Midlands with the addition of 10 new destinations.

The airline said the expansion at Nottingham East Midlands Airport is expected to attract 1.2m new passengers a year.

The new destinations include Berlin, Derry, Nimes, Nantes, Limoges, Lodz, and Bergerac.

The airline said the new routes are in addition to existing flights to Rome, Barcelona and other European cities.

Ryanair said it is basing two new Boeing 737-800 aircraft at the airport from March to co-incide with the launch of the new services.

Penny Coates, managing director of NEMA, said the move is a boost for passengers travelling both into and out of the Midlands.
