A four-month long consultation over planned changes to flight paths in and out of Nottingham East Midlands Airport ends on Monday. Residents have expressed concerns at the proposed changes which airport managers say are needed due to an increase in business.
The government has already agreed to further expansion at the Castle Donington site in principle.
The Civil Aviation Authority will now decide if the changes should go ahead.
The new routes include flight approaches over Beeston and Stapleford in Nottinghamshire, plus east and south Leicestershire.
Airport officials are adamant the new paths will only be used during the day time.
