People in Leicestershire are being urged to help record changes in local plant, bird and animal life. The Community Heritage Initiative is a project to help people record what is happening all around them.
The idea is for people to make a note of things like the first spring plants flowering, the first birds singing and the first butterflies being seen.
The county council says such surveys provide vital information on signs of climate change.
The project organisers are now looking for volunteers to take part - anyone who is interested should contact the Community Heritage Initiative at the Holly Hayes centre in Birstall.
