People in Leicestershire who receive meals on wheels are being warned about the risks of distraction burglaries. Emergency services are sending out leaflets with meals warning about thieves as well as the danger of fires.
Packs are being given out to people so their personal details can be stored in case emergency services are called to their homes.
PC Brian Voss, of Leicestershire Police, said the leaflets were proving to be effective.
