Self-service check in for airport
Passengers at Nottingham East Midlands Airport have become the first to go through the entire flight check in process by themselves.

All 108 people travelling to Prague with easyJet used new check in kiosks.

The passengers used touch screen computers to identify their flight, answer security questions and pick up their boarding passes.

More than 100 items of luggage were checked in by a machine which prints out baggage tags.

Flight 6503 was able to depart on schedule without the need for traditional check in desks.

The new check in process is part of the airline's drive to keep costs down.

The self-check kiosks are expected to be rolled out to other airports over the next few months.
