Organisers of a Christmas homeless shelter say it is in danger of being scrapped this year. The Charnwood Shelter Project is hoping to raise the 32,000 needed to fund it for another year.
They also need volunteers to staff the shelter, which will be open for 15 days over the festive season.
Peter Davy from Charnwood Shelter Project said he is confident the project will go ahead provided that volunteers come forward to help.
Mr Davy added: "We need more people there.
"We need more people to take on responsibility for organising, for working with the clients and we need more admin support.
"I am confident the community will come up with the money.
"What we need is for them to come up with help in kind."
