Police organise anti-crime disco
teenagers
Officers are hoping the event will help to cut teenage crime
Police in Leicester are trying out a new tactic to stop teenagers breaking the law by hosting a disco at a nightclub.

Officers from the force's Violence and Disorder Team have got together with the Creation nightclub on Churchgate for a disco.

The aim is to show youngsters that alcohol and anti-social behaviour are not needed to have a good time.

Bouncers, first-aiders and police officers will be on hand to ensure that there is a high standard of behaviour during the event.

It is the first of several planned for the coming weeks.
