Live acts inspired by the Blackpool's Victorian entertainment history are hoped to add some glamour to this year's Illuminations switch on. A bareback horse-riding burlesque troop, a fire circus and can-can dancing girls are just some of the acts planned for the big event on 31 August.
The burlesque theme is also used in Decodance - the new lights created by designer Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen.
This year Doctor Who star, David Tennant, will switch on the lights.
