Calls for tracks to be reopened |  SELRAP say the removal of the line means a longer train journey |
Campaigners are calling for part of a railway line to be reinstated between Lancashire and Yorkshire - 37 years after it was removed. The removal of the 12-mile (19km) track between Colne and Skipton means commuters have to travel extra distances via Blackburn and Settle. To highlight the issue, the Skipton - East Lancashire Rail Action Partnership (SELRAP) laid on a special train. SELRAP hope it has raised awareness of the need to re-open the line.
