Investor boosts railway campaign
Campaigners hoping to reopen a railway line in Cambridgeshire as a tourist attraction have been given a boost.

A company developing the former greyhound stadium site in Wisbech has shown an interest in investing in the Bramley line project.

The track used to run from March to Wisbech, until it was closed under the Beeching cuts in the 1960s.

Peter Downs, campaign chairman, said plans were taking shape after a letter from Network rail indicated support.

"We also have people working on the line of the track clearing it up and assessing what needs to be done to get trains to run on it," he said.
