Speed limit slashed at black spot
BBC map showing the A675 in Lancashire
Road campaigners in Lancashire are celebrating after the speed limit was reduced on one of the county's accident blackspots.

The A675 in Belmont been the scene of several accidents over recent years.

In July, there were four crashes in as many days, during which nine people were injured.

As a result Blackburn with Darwen Council has decided to reduce the speed limit from 60 mph to 50 mph.

Signs warning motorists to kill their speed, not themselves, have already been put in place.

Marked and unmarked police cars, a speed camera and police motorcyclists have also been installed.
