Police in Lancashire are targeting speeding drivers on a stretch of road where four crashes have happened in as many days. New speed enforcement measures have been imposed on the A675 between Belmont and Abbey Village, near Chorley.
Lancashire Police's road traffic unit said nine people were injured in the recent crashes.
The force says all of the incidents were caused by people driving too fast.
'Kill your speed'
Sergeant Keith Jackson said a fatality was "inevitable" unless car drivers and motorcyclists slow down.
Signs warning motorists to kill their speed, not themselves have been put up on the road.
Marked and unmarked cars, a speed camera and police motorcyclists will also be monitoring the road to enforce the speed limit.
Plans are also being made to introduce a 50mph limit in the future.
