A supermarket worker loves her job in Lancashire so much she takes a 3,000 mile round-trip to get to it. Lynne Siddiq lives in Marbella in southern Spain, but does not want to give up work at Asda in Blackburn.
She is willing to make the 3,354 mile round trip every week despite the fact she loses up to 200 each time.
Mrs Siddiq, 48, only earns about 75 for the three shifts she works each week, but also sees it as a way to keep in touch with friends.
She starting commuting back to Blackburn last March, after she and husband Asim, 40, emigrated to Marbella with their 13-year-old daughter Rebecca.
On Friday she told BBC News Online: "I'm not worried at all about losing about 200 each time I make the trip.
 | My friends find it quite amazing I make the trip, but I also think they think I'm a bit mad |
"I decided to keep doing it when we emigrated, because I really enjoy the work and the benefits it gives me. "My colleagues and friends find it quite amazing that I make the trip, but I also think they think I'm a bit mad."
Mrs Siddiq, originally from Blackburn, takes a flight on a Thursday and stays with friends while working on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
She said staff at Marbella airport are getting to know her well.
"They say hello as I go through customs, and its becoming the same at Manchester and Liverpool airports as well, depending on which one I fly to," she said.
'Short flight'
Before even taking to the skies, Mrs Siddiq has a 30-mile journey to Malaga airport, from her home.
"It does get tiring at times, and I must definitely be the only Asda worker with such a long journey to work, but it is still a relatively short flight," she said.
"Rebecca and Asim do miss me as well, but I'm only really away for two days at a time."
An Asda spokesman said Mrs Siddiq is a "high flier" for her dedication to the job.
