Anyone wanting an area cleaned is urged to contact Medway Council
A council in Kent has announced plans to clean up 100 graffiti sites over the next 100 days.

Medway Council hopes by cleaning up areas residents will then treat them with more respect and pride.

Councillor Rehman Chishti started the campaign by tackling the first site in Chatham High Street with a graffiti-cleaning tool kit.

He said graffiti was "a very serious matter" which affected people's quality of life.

"There is a lot to be proud of in Medway... I look forward to working with the police in fighting this menace on our streets," the community safety and enforcement spokesman added.

Anyone wanting an area cleaned up is urged to contact the council.
