Seaside flat murder victim named
Athelstan Road
The body of the 26-year-old was found in a flat in Athelstan Road
A man found stabbed to death at his flat in Margate has been named.

The body of David Gavin, 26, was discovered at his home on Athelstan Road on Wednesday night.

Officers said a 28-year-old man, who was arrested in connection with the death, was still in custody and helping police with their inquiries.

More than 50 officers are working on the investigation. A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Gavin died after being stabbed.

Police are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The victim was seen having an argument in Athelstan Road earlier on Wednesday, which involved more than one person.
