The Boulevard was home to Hull Football Club until 2002 |
Council bosses have won a court battle to reclaim Hull Football Club's former ground. The Boulevard is currently used for dog racing, but the council, which owns the site, wanted to take it over again so it could be bulldozed for housing.
The case was heard at Hull County Court on Thursday, where a judge ruled the council could take over the site from Hull Greyhound Racing Limited.
Council officials said they would immediately demolish the east stand.
They said the stand had fallen into disrepair because of vandalism and it also required asbestos to be removed.
The stadium had been home to Hull's rugby league side from 1895 to 2002.
