Health alert after mumps outbreak
Public health officials are dealing with East Yorkshire's first major mumps outbreak for three years.

Over 30 cases have been confirmed throughout the East Riding and Hull among people in the 18-24 age group _ the pre-MMR jab generation.

A three-day vaccination programme is to be held at Hull University next week in a bid to protect as many young people as possible.

More than 30 West Hull Primary Care Trust staff will be on hand to help.
