Farm may appeal over polytunnels
A strawberry farm has said it is considering appealing against a council decision which means it must remove 35 hectares of polytunnels.

An application by S&A Davies to keep the plastic greenhouses at Brook Farm in Marden near Hereford was turned down by the county council on Wednesday.

It said the polytunnels would have a detrimental effect on the local landscape and the setting of Marden.

More than 100 objections were made about the polytunnels by local people.

S&A Davies is part of S&A Produce, which has sites in Kent and Herefordshire, and is the largest strawberry producer in the UK.
