A campaign group in Hereford is challenging the county council to do more to ensure the city gets a flood defence system. Hereford Campaign for Flood Defences has accused the council of making little effort for the cause.
It wants the council to put more pressure on the Environment Agency and the Department of the Environment.
But the council argues it helped to secure 2m through for flood defences through a planning application by Asda.
It says it is also seeking to ensure that the city does not lose out next month when the responsibility for the defences passes from the Welsh Region of the Environment Agency to the Severn Trent Region.
