Wards closed due to stomach bug
A stomach bug circulating in Herefordshire has led to the closure of a number of hospital wards.

Three wards at the County Hospital, and Ross Community Hospital, are currently closed to new admissions in an effort to protect patients.

The Norovirus, formally called Norwalk Virus, causing diarrhoea and vomiting, normally only lasts for 24 hours.

Leominster Community Hospital is now taking on new patients again after closing briefly.

A number of patients have had their routine surgery cancelled and people are being urged to avoid visiting patients in the affected wards.
