Talks over migrant village plan
Strawberries
The firm uses about 2,000 migrant workers each harvest season
As many as 200 people are expected to attend a meeting to discuss plans for a 5m village for migrant workers.

Fruit company S&A Produce wants to build the development at Brierley, near Leominster, north Herefordshire.

The village would include a pool, shop, sauna and bar as well as 300 caravans for up to 1,000 workers, many of them students from eastern Europe.

The meeting is being held at the Royal Oak Ballroom in Leominster on Friday evening.

More than 200 local people have signed a petition against the proposals.

They say such a large development in the middle of the countryside would have an unacceptable impact on local life.

Some people are angered that S&A Produce has already begun work on the site.

BBC Hereford and Worcester said work on the disused hop farm was likely to finish before the application goes before planners next month.
